Noble Liquid Calorimetry for FCC-ee
نویسندگان
چکیده
Noble liquid calorimeters have been successfully used in particle physics experiments for decades. The project presented this article is that of a new noble calorimeter concept, where novel design allows us to fulfil the stringent requirements on calorimetry programme electron-positron Future Circular Collider at CERN. High granularity achieved through specific readout electrodes and high-density cryostat feedthroughs. Excellent performance can be reached very light low electronics noise. Preliminary promising simulations, ideas further R&D opportunities are discussed.

Interaction Region Lattice for Fcc-ee (tlep)
FCC-ee (TLEP) project is high-luminosity ee collider and is an essential part of the Future Circular Collider (FCC) design study at CERN [1–3]. FCC-ee is being designed to reach center-of-mass energy from 90 to 350 GeV with circumference of 80-100 km to study Higgs boson properties and perform precise measurements at the electroweak scale. It is also an intermediate step towards 100 TeV proton-...
متن کاملTop-quark electroweak couplings at the FCC-ee
An optimal-observable analysis of the lepton angular and energy distributions from top-quark pair production with semi-leptonic decays in e+e− collisions is used to predict the potential sensitivity of the FCC-ee to the couplings of the top quark to the photon and the Z.
متن کاملHigh-resolution electro-magnetic calorimetry with noble liquids
Electromagnetic calorimeters with noble liquids and their limits in resolution are discussed. The origins of “initial” current measurement in calorimetry are retraced and the performance and first results of the NA48 calorimeter (quasi-homogeneous calorimeter with longitudinal electrode structure) are presented. Results of the prototype calorimeters of KEDR (quasi-homogeneous calorimeter with t...

A synoptic comparison of the liquid noble gas experiments from a technical and methodological point of view, discussing their low energy physics application in the Dark Matter direct investigation, is presented.
متن کاملMicromegas for imaging calorimetry
Gaseous detectors have been used in sampling calorimeters for several years and still remain an attractive option for future collider experiments. The use of Micromegas chambers as active elements of a hadronic calorimeter was proposed a few years ago and stirred up exciting developments of this technology. Basic building blocks of large size chambers acting as signal generating and processing ...
